“Rainwater Harvesting System: Factors that Influence RWH System Design ”

Synopsis:
Water efficiency is one of the criteria in the assessment of a building environmental attributes, and in the GBI classification, rainwater harvesting leading to reduction in potable water consumption is encouraged. In addition, rainwater harvesting has been imposed by some local councils as a condition in project planning approvals. Rainwater harvesting is the gathering or accumulating and storing of rainwater to be used. There are various types of systems to harvest rainwater ranging from very simple to the complex commercial systems. There are many factors that affect the implementation of rainwater harvesting and this talk will highlight the theoretical and practical aspects of in a rainwater harvesting system design.
